All week long we are Live Tweeting the E3 2018 press conferences using the hashtag #DailyHotTake and compiling them all here on Top Shelf Gaming for your convenience. Read the best announcements from the Ubisoft press conference below and tell us what you think about our hot takes.
The Greatest Showman
Ubisoft knows how to party. Their shows are always very lively and fun. But where’s Aisha Tyler? #LadyWood
In true @Ubisoft fashion, their Press Conference opened with a wonderful and quirky dance number with crazy costumes. Say what you want about the games, Ubisoft always has the most fun each year. #DailyHotTake #TSG3 pic.twitter.com/nYTWVvf0qo

Beyond Good and Evil 2
Beyond Good and Evil's cinematic is even more bombastic and impressive than last year's trailer. We have no idea what this game is or if it's even going to come out, but maybe they should just make a movie. Also, Jade is back. #DailyHotTake #TSG3 pic.twitter.com/DlDYfKQV5d

Joseph Gordon Levitt partners with Ubisoft on Beyond Good and Evil 2
Hit RECord, JGL’s side project helps people collaborate with each to complete artistic endeavors like films or music records. While he didn’t mention this onstage, Hit RECord has allocated $50K for all of the music and additional art in the game. That’s not a lot of money for the work of what could be hundreds of people. While the idea that regular fans can make a lasting impression on the game, it’s possible we may see compensation creep into the limelight at a later date.
@hitRECordJoe partners with @Ubisoft to crowdsource content for Beyond Good and Evil 2. This seems like a great use of the @hitRECord platform that makes us feel better about the vague Space Monkey Program. #DailyHotTake #TSG3 pic.twitter.com/LmkFxHZC0U

Trials Rising
The coolest thing about the #TrialsRising reveal is the revelation that it was developed in part by Trials super fans. #SonicMania is one of the greatest modern Sonic games because SEGA hired community leaders so we hope this goes just as well. #DailyHotTake #E3 #TSG3 pic.twitter.com/rmreZKxkrM

The Division 2
The Division 2 is focusing on end game content this time around. It is no surprise that it will now have raids. This seems to be one of the many improvements that fans are going to get stoked about. It’s already shaping up to be a great game.
@TheDivisionGame was a response to @DestinyTheGame that ultimately fell short. Today's announcement of The Division 2 hopes to hop back into the ring by introducing 8-person team raids and free major content updates. Your move, Destiny 2. #E3 #DailyHotTake #TSG3 pic.twitter.com/fV0booo7e7

Mario + Rabbids Donkey DLC
Just a friendly reminder that if you haven’t played Mario + Rabbids, it’s a fantastic game that is good for both casual and hardcore players. It would be bananas to sleep on this one.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is one of the best games on the Nintendo Switch. The new Donkey Kong DLC was given its due with a live performance of some of the game's score. We can't wait. #MarioRabbids #DailyHotTake #TSG3 pic.twitter.com/HwP0pKW9Lp

Skull & Bones
Skull and Bones is just a really really pretty game of Battleship. While @Ubisoft showed many new features, we're not sure if pirate ship battles can sustain an entire game though. #DailyHotTake #TSG3 #E3 pic.twitter.com/A6S3EYkxNy

Starlink: Battle for Atlas
Starlink was one of the games we were least excited to see at the press conference, but leave it to Nintendo to bring the hype. With the surprise inclusion of Fox McCloud into the game and the even bigger surprise of Miyamoto himself attending the show, this became one of the standout segments of the entire presentation. Two Nintendo characters were featured prominently during Ubisoft’s show which makes us hopeful for many more collaborations in the future.
#StarlinkGame is a unique toys-to-life game from @Ubisoft in which you configure toy spaceships and attach them to your controller. Fox McCloud from the Star Fox will be available exclusively on the Switch version which is a great move for Nintendo. #DailyHotTake #E3 #TSG3 pic.twitter.com/Lmmr90GIyT

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Assassin’s Creed games are a dime a dozen. Most players became fatigued at some point and have dropped away from the series. Last year’s AC introduced new RPG mechanics and a revamped combat system and achieved wide acclaim. Now, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, set in ancient Greece, builds on the foundation and does even more. After seeing this game running, we’re ready for some Greece lightning.
@assassinscreed Odyssey allows you to choose between playing as Alexios or Alexandra. You will play as the character you choose for the entirety of the game. Speaking of choices, the story now features dialogue choices which may impact gameplay. Pretty neat. #DailyHotTake #E3 pic.twitter.com/lc0dWtDz7J

Safe and sound
@Ubisoft had a wonderful #E32018 press conference where each game showed both a cinematic trailer and a healthy amount of gameplay. The onstage bits were very informational and funny, despite a couple technical hiccups. No real surprises save for Star Fox. #DailyHotTake #TSG3
