Wreck-It Ralph 2 announced for 2018 release

Wreck-It Ralph 2 was officially announced by John C. Reilly, who will reprise his role as the titular character Ralph, during a Facebook Live event earlier this morning. Dream team Rich Moore and Phil Johnston who spearheaded Wreck-It Ralph and Zootopia return to continue the story of Ralph and Vanellope (voice of Sarah Silverman). The sequel to the highly acclaimed film will see Ralph and co. break out of the arcade and into the internet. The film will hit theaters March 9, 2018.

The original Wreck-It Ralph is my all-time favorite animated movie. Top Shelf Gaming was named after a scene from the movie and our color scheme is directly inspired by Ralph and Vanellope’s dominant colors. I knew of this movie’s existence for over a month now and I’m glad I can finally geek out about it with the rest of the world. Imagine a video game movie filled with internet memes.
